The position on the x-axis says something about how strong a signal is related to product-market fit.
1000 followers on Instagram in itself are not a strong sign of product-market fit, whereas 10 customers happy in a full price pilot are.
Indeed, those 1000 followers might convert to paid pilots, but we don’t know what the conversion rates are, and if they will be happy. Therefore, it’s a weaker proxy.
